We are now onto 4.06A version. Either way, this software now uses OpenJDK8U-jre_x64_windows_hotspot_8u452b09 and removes the previous version. FYI, thanks. Attached is the AOI server specification for Windows Server 2022. The disk partitions D and E are fixed, while the G drive is more flexible. I see you're currently using only a few gigabytes, so starting with 1TB for the G drive should be sufficient. Since this will be a VM, you can easily increase the size of the G drive later if needed. Would you like to receive a quotation for server migration service? We looked at the current disk space and saw that not allot of space has been used over the last 2 + years on the Lenovo server. Could we setup a VM server in our environment with Windows Server 2022 and have your tech install the newest Omron software? We would be providing the Microsoft license. Do you happen to have a current sheet on hardware requirements if we do this under server 2022? However, since the server was installed in 2023 with Windows Server 2016, you should have received a DVD containing only a Windows Server 2019 license. We are still planning to do this upgrade, but it will most likely be during the first quarter of 2026. I did have a few questions about this process. Can you confirm if our current server will work with Windows Server 2022? Does the new OS come with a Microsoft license for Server 2022, or will Federal Signal have to provide the license for the Omron server? We understand your concerns and are pleased to inform you that Omron now supportsWindows Server 2022. To facilitate this upgrade, the Omron software must be updated to the latest version, 4.05B, which includes an exciting new feature for automatic component creation using AI. To ensure a smooth transition, we will need to dispatch a service engineer to your site to perform the upgrade. While the software itself is provided at no cost, we kindly ask that you cover the labor and travel expenses associated with the service. If you wish to proceed, we would be happy to provide you with a detailed quote. Please let us know how you would like to move forward. The extended support ends January 12, 2027. Does Omron have a path to upgrade the OS version on this server? We realize there would be an additional cost to this upgrade. Thanks, John Assuming that you are still the application owner, this is to inform you that the server that your application resides currently runs on the operating system (OS) Windows Server 2016, which is already outside of mainstream support (ended January 11, 2022) and will be losing extended support (which includes security updates) onJanuary 12, 2027. While Federal Signal normally has software assurance for the operating system, which allows the IT department to upgrade the OS to the next itineration of Windows server, this system does not have a Software Assurance, which will require new license. Additionally, what the IT department needs to know from you is, will the migration to the next OS version (Windows Server 2022) require a software upgrade of your application, and if so, will there be an additional cost for that upgrade? You may need to contact the software vendor to confirm whether or not that is the case, but it’s important for us to budget cost for the upcoming initiative.
