Current case

Customer issue

Good morning, We're having issues with our labels during inspection and some of the are failing. I have the Line stop setting enabled whenever barcodes fail so they enter them manually in those cases and while the machines whenever any barcode fails, it sometimes doesn't show the virtual keyboard so they can enter the serial number. I suspect it is only showing the keyboard to enter the serial whenever a PCBID label fails but not for the BlockID labels. Is this normal? Is there a different setting that should be on for BlockID labels? Hello Luis, From what you described, it looks like the system behavior may be slightly different between PCBID and BlockID when a barcode read fails. Specifically, the on-screen keyboard may not automatically appear in all cases, even though manual input is still allowed. To help confirm this, could you please try the following quick test: On the AOI PC, press Windows + R Type osk and press Enter (this will open the Windows on-screen keyboard) Leave the keyboard open Run inspection and allow a BlockID barcode to fail Try manually entering the value using the on-screen keyboard If the system accepts the input, this would indicate that manual entry is still functioning, and the difference is only that the keyboard is not automatically popping up for BlockID in the same way it does for PCBID. As a workaround, you can also pin the on-screen keyboard to the taskbar so operators can easily open it when needed. Please let us know the results of this test, and we can advise further based on what you observe. Best regards,
