Customer issue
Hello Omron Team, Our line is down. Our team has noticed an issue with the csv Pass/Fail file which the AOI machine is producing for each Panel serial number. Based on our data records, this problem has been occurring since your team was here on 4/3/26 and updated the Omron software (ie we have not recorded "AOI Failures" since then, we have only recorded "AOI Pass" and "AOI Disposition Pass/Fail"). All panels that ran through the machine have been producing a "Pass", csv file with no Fault Code in 'Column AX' and other columns in the csv (even when there are defects being called out on the board). For those same panels that have defects, there is still an AOI Disposition csv file with failures being produced. This does not make sense because you cannot have an AOI Disposition file created unless there are failures in the AOI csv file. It is good for us that this Disposition csv file is being produced because otherwise we would not have been tracking the real defects. However, it is a problem that the machine is logging every panel as a "Pass" and producing a 2KB AOI Pass csv file. Now, we need to understand what is wrong with the machine that it is not outputting an "AOI" "Fail" csv file for failing panels. My explanation of the problem may make more sense with the attached excel sheets as visuals. The following is an example of the same panel with both 'AOI Pass' csv file and 'AOI Disposition' csv file. Those two files are attached. [cid:fd9aa7b2-fcf1-4cef-97b8-f35bd31c9b50] As you can see in the first 'AOI' csv file, despite Column X stating 'NG', there are no rows containing failures, nor is there information on failures recorded in the sequential columns (such as Column AX "Fault Code"). However there are rows of failures recorded in the 'AOI Disposition' file for that same Panel. This is causing the Panel to record as a "Pass" in our tracking system until a disposition "Fail" file is submitted. The 2 KB file should contain more information about the failures and especially include a Fault Code. Please assist in this issue and help us understand why this is recording incorrectly as well as what can be done to fix it. Thank you, Olivia Pisacano Process Quality Engineer SynQor, Inc. [email]

Hi Olivia, Thank you for the information and the CSV examples. We reviewed the files you provided. The AOI CSV generated after machine inspection does show the board result as NG, but it does not contain the detailed component/failure rows or fault code information. The later AOI Disposition CSV does contain the detailed failure information. To help us confirm whether this behavior changed after the software update, could you please send us a few examples of AOI CSV files from before the update on 4/3/26? Specifically, we are looking for examples where: The file was generated directly after AOI machine inspection The board result was Fail / NG The CSV contained the component/failure rows and fault code information before visual inspection or disposition was performed If possible, please send the matching files for one or more panels, including: The original AOI Fail CSV generated after machine inspection The matching AOI Disposition CSV, if available The panel serial number / barcode The approximate inspection date and time The machine name and inspection program name This will help us compare the previous working behavior against the current behavior and determine whether the CSV output changed after the software update. Thank you,

Hello Olivia, We confirmed the same action at our office site. This appears to be a bug. We have escalated this to Omron Japan and are awaiting review. Thank you.

Hi Jeremy, Thank you for looking into this issue and escalating the situation. Would you still like the csv files and information you requested in your previous email? Thanks, Olivia Pisacano Process Quality Engineer SynQor, Inc. [email] ________________________________

Hello Olivia, If you have examples, that would be good, but I'm not sure it's required. Japan can just test this themselves and verify it.

Hi Jeremy, Attached are the two csv files with the requested information for Panel#: P2643576. This panel has a total of 2 real failures out of 27 total callouts. Inspection Machine name: VT-S10-0661 Program name: aoiB_IF01457NF_E Date & Time AOI Fail Inspection performed: 03/27/2026 @ 07:41:13 AOI Disposition Fail performed: 03/27/2026 @ 08:21:40 Let me know if I can provide any more information. To note, I had a typo in the original email in regard to the specific dates. The information and timeline are still the same. *The last AOI Failure csv files that were generated are from Friday 4/3/26. Omron team came in on Monday 4/6/26 to update the machine and we have not generated AOI Failure csv files since.* Thanks, Olivia Pisacano Process Quality Engineer SynQor, Inc. Hi Olivia, We received confirmation from Japan that the CSV output behavior is a known software issue in the current version. Japan has a customer-specific 4.06B patch available now, and the full 4.06B release is currently planned for July. Since the full release is expected soon, our preferred recommendation would be to wait for the official release if SynQor is able to do so. That said, we understand this may be impacting your production tracking process, so if this issue is causing significant disruption and SynQor cannot wait until the July release, we can prepare to apply the 4.06B patch sooner. This update can be performed remotely, but it would require planned downtime on your side so we can complete the update and validate the CSV output afterward. Since this is related to a confirmed software bug, there would be no charge for applying the patch. Could you please let us know which option works best for SynQor? Wait for the full 4.06B release planned for July Proceed with the 4.06B patch now, with scheduled downtime Thank you, Jeremiah Soliz Application Engineer Direct: [phone] | [email] Omron Automation Americas 2895 Greenspoint Parkway, Suite 200, Hoffman Estates, IL 60169 automation.omron.com This is a confidential message.
