Hello, I was cleaning the height projector lens cleaning and calibration on one of our VT-S730H machines. I powered the machine back on and tried to initialize the machine; had a shutter error then a Camera Unit Error. I then shutdown the machine waited for the UPS to show -- then powered on the machine. Repeated initialization and right at the end of initialization the monitor, UPS and PC suddenly lost power. I switched the breaker off, waited and turned on the machine. Once the machine came back up, a "Failed to initialize: Object reference not set to an instance of an object". I then restarted the pc and tried again and failed. I then called Tony Lee since he had just left yesterday after installing a different machine. We were able to restore the software from a backup and able to start the software. We tried to initialize and ran into the camera error again, checked the COM ports, compared them to another machine, and saw no difference in the ports. We then powered down the machine, tripped the breaker, waited 10 minutes and then restarted the machine. The error occurred again. We then powered down the machine again, turned off the UPS, checked the connections on the cameras, and waited before powering on the machines. Powered the machine back on and the error occurred again. Tony, I missed anything please add those details. We will need physical Omron support to fix this issue. I attached the error logs for today. Hello Jonathan, Can you please check the status of Image card on PC, does board have power? Its lights should be flashing wither red, green or yellow. If board has no power, shut off power to AOI and reseat Image board in PC. Also check cables for damage or connection failures Thanks,
Hello Jonathan, It seems the problem is with oblique camera not main camera, Open Ebus player from Pleora Technologies (see below) then click on start connect and let me know if you can see the for cameras as the attached screenshot. if you see any difference send me an screenshoot Francisco Villalpando Engineering Supervisor Direct: +[phone] [email]
Omron support, We plan to continue working on the mentioned issue tomorrow afternoon. We will try the requested items sent in hopes of recovery. Any and all support will be need and/or appreciated! Rondy Get Outlook for iOS ________________________________

Omron Team, Francisco, Chris Norris, and I have been troubleshooting this issue for the past couple hours. We checked the camera software and saw no issues. Chris and I followed Tony's instructions, powered down the machine, reseated the video card, and checked the cable connections; Chris did notice that IN4 was loose when disconnecting the cables to unseat the drive. The error still occurred. Francisco then suggested to go to the VT-S73H profile and run the application, the error occurred again. Francisco then suggested to swap out the PC with another machine. After discussing with Rondy, we decided to switch the PC with the other machine on the line as to not cause another line to go down. This swap caused the machine to successfully initialize with no Camera Unit Error. Francisco has suggested to clone the working PC's drive and load it in the non-working PC changing the name and IP address. Chris and I will need Astemo IT's assistance with completing this to ensure the process goes smoothly. I do have concerns of what caused the machine to lose power during initialization. The loss of power occurred after the shutters opened and closed and before the screen changes to the waiting for inspection program screen. **Please note the new email address** Have a nice day, ________________________________________ Jonathan Ellis Engineer II Astemo Indiana, Inc. Hello Jonathan, Was the power shutdown to the PC only? If there is power is interrupted during the machine initialization, then there is very high probability that AOI software/driver files could be corrupted. I would check the Windows event viewer to check if there is any information on the shutdown. It could be cause by UPS problem or some power surge.

Saqib, I am encountering issues with the UPS currently. Power to the monitor, I believe the machine (the power on button goes dark) is lost and the UPS flashes with bU with the 90%, 60%, and 30% also flashing. The PC remains on when this occurs. **Please note the new email address** Have a nice day, ________________________________________ Jonathan Ellis Engineer II Astemo Indiana, Inc. Hello Jonathan, If the power button goes dark while the UPS remains on and displays BU (Battery Backup), this indicates a problem with the power being supplied to the machine. In this situation, the PC should automatically shut down after approximately one minute. The UPS is only intended to provide backup power to the PC long enough for a controlled shutdown. It does not supply power to any other machine circuits or devices. Please check the machine's incoming power supply and determine whether there is a power interruption or voltage issue when this occurs.

Saqib, We checked the supply to the UPS on both the bus bar and the plug to the UPS, both had power going to UPS. Is there any to check with the UPS itself? **Please note the new email address** Have a nice day, ________________________________________ Jonathan Ellis Engineer II Astemo Indiana, Inc. Hello Jonathan, If the UPS displayed "BU" and the green power button turned off, it indicates that power was lost to the machine. I recommend checking the machine's power supply and verifying that 220 VAC is present whenever this issue occurs. This will help determine whether the Camera Control Unit error is being caused by an interruption in the incoming power.

Saqib, For machine supply, you are talking about the supply to the breaker from the panel, correct? See below. Hello Jonathan, That is correct, this will be first place I would check the power supply. If there is fluctuation to the power supply or if you are not getting 220V then it would cause problem with the system.

We just checked incoming voltage and receiving 208v AC. Get Outlook for iOS ________________________________

Hello Jonathan, Here is schematic for the S730H machines. Please check the power supply for the safety circuit and that maybe causing this flickering power on problem. That power supply provide power to the safety circuit, and it is malfunctioning then it would cut power to rest of the system.
