Max, The software version our machine is currently on is compatible for WS-2019. I didn’t know if the doing a machine software upgrade vs not doing the machine software upgrade changes the cost for the work being done. I am learning everything as I go so bear with me, please. If the cost is the same to go to either WS-2019 or WS-2022, then WS-2022 for the SOW is fine. Trying to make sure I cover all my bases with relaying information to our team here because I know the question will be asked if I do not ask. Hi Nolan, What I quoted was to go from WS-2018 to WS-2022. You want to go to 2019 instead? In any case the cost, duration of service and any associated down time required would not change from quoted. Please let me know if I should change the SOW description. Hi Nolan Hope you are doing well. You’ve outlined all the standard activities we typically perform during a server migration, and the process remains the same whether you choose Windows Server 2019 or 2022. The only difference is that upgrading the machine software to ensure compatibility with Windows Server 2022 will take approximately 4 additional hours. However, given the significant benefits WS 2022 offers for BAE, we believe this is a worthwhile investment. Please let us know if you’d like a quotation for this service. Our AXI Machine is currently on 4.02.00B so we would be moving to Windows Server 2019. The notes I have is we would need machine software version 4.03.00A to be able to go to Windows Server 2022. * Full installation of AXI server software on the new virtual machine * Manual transfer of all files in the XShareData drive * Generating scrip files for the RVS SQL tables on the old AXI server, and importing the scripts and schema into the empty SQL database on the VM * If applicable, altering the SQL tables to match the new server name * If applicable, pointing the machine, RVS-X PCs, and CTX-X PCs to the new server location (if IP address or host name is different) With what we are currently doing here, I would prefer to only move to Windows Server 2019 at this time so we do not have to mess with the AXI Machine for a software upgrade. What support, if any, do we need from the Omron team to move to Windows Server 2019? Hi Nolan, No worries and this is why I like to detail in the quote what service exactly will be performed. Francisco created this SOW so let me explain: · Server will be upgraded --> X700 Sever transfer service from WS 2018 to WS 2022 · Machine software will also be upgraded to whatever latest version works with machine type/server combination --> Machine software upgrade to latest version compatible with Windows server 2022 · In order to reduce the time we will spend on site some work will be required by BAE ahead of time. For more details on this Francisco can assist else we can add more time on site so Omron can take care of this as well --> Programs, library and inspection results must be transferred ahead of time in order to reduce Omron support onsite hours Please let me know if you have more questions and if so probably best to set a call with Francisco.
