Hi Omron Team, Serial No : [phone] Model: V-X750 I hope you are doing well. I would like to get some brief information regarding saving 3D X-ray images on the VT-X750 (CT AXI Machine). 1. How can the 3D X-ray images be saved on the system? 2. Does the system have an option to export all 3D images together, or must they be exported individually? 3. After saving the images, is any third-party image viewer software required to open or view them? Your guidance on these points would be greatly appreciated. Additionally, we would appreciate it if you could share a direct contact number for your technical support team. Hello Pur, 1.-X750 machine saves all 3D images in the server with two different formats .vgi and .Rec2, you can visualize those images using RVS-X software provided by Omron 2.-When you inspect a board in inspection mode it will automatically create 3D images for all the inspected components. 3.-Yes, the name of the software is RVS-X and is installed on one of the PC's included with your system.

Francisco, Thanks for your reply. I have clarified the question a bit further so you can understand the reasoning behind them. Our customer requested to provide X-ray images for each assembly. Assembly has 10 connectors and each connector may have 20 leads. Our ideal goal is to create ONE file to send to the customer and if the customer can download an image viewer from the web. We would like the Omron AXI machine to take 3D images per assembly programming and collect all data in one file (assuming it is one physical file per assembly). How can we achieve this? -Jay On Thu, Nov 13, 2025 at 2:24 PM AOI Tech Support - US < [email] wrote: > Hello Pur, > > 1.-X750 machine saves all 3D images in the server with two different > formats .vgi and .Rec2, you can visualize those images using RVS-X software > provided by Omron > 2.-When you inspect a board in inspection mode it will automatically > create 3D images for all the inspected components. > 3.-Yes, the name of the software is RVS-X and is installed on one of the > PC's included with your system. > > > > [image: This is Francisco Villalpando's card. Hello Pur, We have a solution that may meet your needs: the Archiver tool. This tool can generate reports similar to the attached example; however, the report will include only a single slice image extracted from the original defect image. The software also offers an option to grant external users (such as your customer) access to specific data, including their programs. Through the web interface, they can view slice images and use a scroll bar to navigate through all slices. I can check with our developers if it’s possible to add GIF functionality to display slice images from bottom to top. Please note that the Archiver tool is licensed software. If you’d like more details, we can provide them. I’ve cc’d Eric McElmurry, who can schedule a web demo if you’re interested

Hello Pur, Here are some answers to your question. Hope this helps. See responses in red. 1. How can the 3D X-ray images be saved on the system? Log into AXI machine, goto Service Mode, then Inspection Output Settings. Once you're in this menu you can see your Volume Data and where it's being saved. Your 3D data is already being output to the AXI server, but you can also output it to a system shared folder if you want (not needed). 2. Does the system have an option to export all 3D images together, or must they be exported individually? I believe the above answers this question. 3. After saving the images, is any third-party image viewer software required to open or view them? Can you please download the following software --> https://app.box.com/s/ug5anlx1kgj8ut37ky4if0h9rxboivy9 < -- This software is called ImageJ. Please unzip to your desktop, and inside you can run the setup.bat file I created. This will setup this software up. After that you will navigate your VolumeData directory located in your AXI server, and simply double click any file that has extenstion .rec2. See screenshot below. You could also use the VolumeViewer on the desktop of the Review station to review the 3D images that way. The ImageJ option is for viewing them outside of that review station location that doesn't have VolumeViewer. Hope this helps? Let us know. If this answers your question we will resolve this ticket. Thanks!

Jeremiah, Thanks for help, however, I am not able to open .rec2 with the ImageJ viewer. I was advised by Brain that we need to convert Rec2 to Rec1. Do not know how. What am I doing wrong? Hello Pur, If you followed those instructions, and placed those files in the right area, all you need to do is DOUBLE CLICK on a .rec2 file, and it will auto open ImageJ. No need to open ImageJ ahead of time and goto File->Open ....just double click on a .rec2 file in your windows explorer. Let me know if you got it?

CustomerCustomer reply | Nov 21, 2025 at 8:49 AM
I have placed a .rec2 file in a local folder. It is set up to open with the ImageJ viewer and still shows the same error message. Hello Jay, Please see below screenshot. Right click on that .rec2 file, and goto "Open With" ...then select Rec2Decode.exe file (which is in the root ImageJ directory) . If you notice in your screenshot, you have the .rec2 file linked to ImageJ app, which is incorrect: Let me know?
Brian/Jeremiah, I am adding you into this. Everyone in support at Omron tells me different contradictory things. Can you please sort out internally first and let me know what I need to do? -Jay On Fri, Nov 21, 2025 at 4:01 PM AOI Tech Support - US < [email] wrote: > Hello Jay, > Please see below screenshot. Hello Jay Is there any way you can provide remote access to one of the X-Ray machines such as CTS-X or RVS-X and I can show data on Image J? it will take only 5 min to make it work.
