Customer issue
Hello Team, Good afternoon! This morning we had issue with the AOI machine and could be because of: 1. We just swapped the exit conveyors and after that first time operators ran the machine today. 2. Boards we getting stuck at the exit conveyor and we adjusted the alignment of conveyor and looks like issue resolved. Also machine was restarted to clear the error. 3. After few more boards it starts getting stuck again. We tried to pull the board out from machine but might be at the same time operator hit the "Clear" button on screen while board was still stuck at the exit (Half inside the machine). 4. I guess that "Clear" button tried to reset conveyor width and at exit board might have come out forcefully which conveyor trying to narrow down. 5. That's why we noticed exit conveyor little narrow than the exit. Looks like whole adjustable conveyor not fully straight now. Board loose at entry and tight at the exit. 6. We tried to restarted machine couple of times and following error message was displaying. 7. Also we thought sensors readings detecting board inside. We cleared out inside but still sensor reading there is board inside or other error. 8. After restarting machine few times and adjusting conveyor by hand looks like error gone and machine initialized and working fine now. But our concerns are "does the machine came back fully as original state?, all the sensors readings are correct showing in picture? or need adjustments? Please let us know if there is easy way to reset to original settings or need some easy calibration or we are OK to use as is. Or in future is "Clear" button is dangerous to touch while board inside or there is safety function in software to not adjust width while board inside? Thanks for your support. Have a nice weekend! Hello Syed, The machine includes a safety function that requires the operator to open the front door and confirm that no PCB remains inside after an error occurs. This prevents PCB damage during the recovery process. If a board is stopped over a conveyor sensor, the machine will detect it and prevent the conveyor width from being adjusted. However, if a PCB is stuck in a position where no sensor is activated, the conveyor may narrow during recovery, potentially damaging the board and causing the conveyor rails to lose parallelism. This may be the reason W2 sensor was flagging, to adjust conveyor parallelism: Please follow the same steps you normally use when calibrating the machine. When the machine prompts you to load the jig, open the door and adjust the front rail as shown in the attached images. Please let me know if you have any questions.
