Hi Dennis, Thanks for your response! I am adding our engineering support team, @AOISupport-US-A , which can assist in investigating possible solutions for your board warpage compensation. Thanks! We have been running all three of the Omron AOI machines that we have. The only support we need is about warped panels in the machine. Is there a feature on the Omron AOI machines to compensate for warped panels that we may not be aware of? On certain products we have been getting a lot of false calls due to parts out of focus from the warpage. I add a few co-workers that are involved with the programming of the machines. Hi Ricardo & Dennis, I am Eric McElmurry, the Omron inspection systems account manager for the Central U.S. I reached out to Goran, but I got an OOO message, so I'm emailing you. I'm reaching out because my colleague, Max Fabiano, just set some meetings this week at Creation HQ. He asked that I relay any recent needs that may have come up at the Oak Creek facility. From my perspective, there hasn't been much, but I want to make sure I have up-to-date information. How have the machines been running lately? Is there any support that you feel you need? Any upcoming projects that might require new equipment? Please feel free to give me a call if you wish to chat more. Thanks! Best Regards, Eric McElmurry [This is Eric McElmurry's card. Hello Dennis, Could you please let us know the approximate warpage of the board/panel? We understand you are seeing false calls due to components going out of focus as a result of board warpage. By default, the system warpage compensation is approximately-3 mm to +3 mm. This can be increased to approximately-6 mm to +6 mm using the Base Plane Editor: Go to Tools → PCB Image Management and select an adjustment image as the master. Select Edit Model → Edit Base Plane Model. In the editor, select Height Model from the top of the screen. Hold CTRL + SHIFT and click below Approximation next to the arrow. Adjust the warpage range to approximately-6 +6. Change the model from Plane to Curve as well. Please note that if the board warpage exceeds approximately ±6 mm, the system will not be able to fully compensate for it.
