Customer issue

Hello, I am trying to get a question answered below about a warped PCB and odd inspections. We are working with a small postage stamp size PCB with 0201’s on it and a few QFN’s. nothing to challenging. Upon programming the PCB and running we keep getting a lot of our caps and resistors that look like the scan the part as if it was sunk into the PCB. This is causing many false calls. I put 2 images up of one of them, a 3D image of this as well as the graph that it shows during the scan. What can I do to obtain a more accurate scan? This is a small PCB with not a lot of open space; the PCBs are slightly bowed as well. Can we counter some of this to fix our program? Thank you for the assistance! Francisco will probably respond but for faster response please email [email] so the call is logged and tracked. Thank you, [This is Max Fabiano's card. There is a new release coming soon but I don’t have the release notes yet so not sure what the benefits are. Of course it’s always good to have the latest but the question is how soon should it be implemented and to me that depends on the benefits it brings. It does require an onsite visit to install. Can those updates be installed remotely, or does someone from Omron need to physically visit Tristate? (He is well and resting) That was not the price I was expecting… However, this looks to be what we need. We will be in touch between the middle and end of next week on our next steps. I do appreciate the time everybody has spent today to provide us this information. We are nearing the end of this lengthy process change. Have a wonderful weekend, we will be in touch soon. Warning: The sender [email] might be a spam sender. Block as Spam Not a Spam Sender powered by Graphus® Hi Brandon, Thank you for taking the time to clarify your reporting requirements for AOI data. As discussed the Qup-Navi that you already have does provide all of the data and detail level you need for “real time” information that can be used to track and resolve quality process issues on a daily basis. This data set remains available on your existing server for 3-9 months depending on volumes and failure rates. The Qup-Navi interface is available via a web page so it can easily be accessed during a review meeting to readily display the needed information. For the long term 7-year data retention requirement we have determined that the available Archive software tool would be the best solution which is also paperless and eliminates the need to manually save the data. The interface is also available via a web page hence easily accessible when needed. The software installs on your existing server and requires an external NAS to store the bulk of the data. the Archive can be configured to store the type of data based on your end customer requirements. Attached are two quotes: the bundle version includes pretty much every feature with the optional History feature while the second one can be customized. Please let me know if you wish to go over these quotes in detail. Thank you, [This is Max Fabiano's card. Both you and Francisco already accepted the invite. Brandon Shawyer is the lead engineer managing the new AOI system at Tristate. He accepted the meeting for Friday as well. Ryan will not be available as he is having surgery on Thursday. Let me know if Friday at 11am does not work for you and Francisco. The intentional design is for the real-time data, useful for process validation and improvement, to be paperless and readily available within a normal 6-9 months period (depending on volumes and failure rates). However we do have other options available that include passing/failing measurement data/images and can be stored for a much longer period of time in the order of 5-7 years and even longer by archiving physical hard drives. I would like to have a Teams call to discuss your goals so we can suggest a solution that suits your needs. I will propose a time hopefully for this week once Francisco gets back to me with his availability so we can brainstorm on a solution and perhaps show you what the software looks like. I appreciate your patience. Best regards, [This is Max Fabiano's card. Their email is [email] Their phone number is +[phone].] WARNING! This is an email from an external party. Hello Brandon, Is the PCB on a pallet? What is the thickness of the PCB? Please capture an adjustment image and check the base plane of the board. Please let us know if you have remote access option via TeamViewer or teams and I can assist. Best Regards

Hello Saqib! I hope you are well. The thickness of the board is .6mm, and it is a 2x5 panel. I’ve attached what the base plane screen currently looks like. We do have the capability of setting up a remote meeting if you think it would be beneficial. Thank you! Alexis French Tristate Electronic Mfg. Inc. [phone]

Hello Alexis, All is well and hope the same for you guys. The board thickness at 0.6 may cause some warpage, please settings from the -3~2 to -6~6 and let us know if that helps. If you don't see the option to change the warpage then please hold the CTRL+SHIFT keys on the keyboard and click above Approximation, it will show the option to change the settings. If that does not help then please let me know and I probably can help via remote this afternoon. Best Regards

Hello! Sorry for the delayed response, it’s been quite busy here. I did try the -6~6 option when editing the base plane model and I do believe it helped. We also created a fixture for the PCB to sit on which also helped. Thank you so much and I’ll be in touch if I need anything else! ? Thank you! Alexis French Tristate Electronic Mfg. Inc. [phone]
