Good Morning, I went to fire up my SMT lines this morning and when I went to power on one of our SPI machines it would shut down upon booting up. I reseated all connections to the back of the pc, and I don't believe it's overheated as this machine was off all night. I have tried multiple times to get the machine booted up but it happens everytime. Before I tear the PC apart and check for loose memory cards or evidence of damage I wanted to reach out and see if I was overlooking something or if you have some "tribal" knowledge you can impart on me. It just seemed odd as we have only had this piece of equipment a year or so. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Justin Peterson eCircuits [phone] ext 205

Hello Justin, This is due to the UPS. There are two methods for dealing with a low UPS battery voltage, depending on SPI PC model. I have attached extracted sections from the instruction manuals that describe each method. Please try the manual for Type-A first. If that is ineffective, please try the manual for Type-B. Also if that doesn't work, boot the PC to Safe mode, then look for this configuration option and adjust it. Can you let us know if this resolves your issue? Best Regards,

Jeremiah, I have an update for you, I tried Type-A and Type-B and neither fixed my issue. I was able to get into boot mode but the image that was in the email is not popping up for me to view, so if you can get me an image of what I need to adjust then I will give that a shot. Thanks Justin Peterson eCircuits [phone] ext 205

Jeremiah, I was able to send the email to someone else and I got the image with the adjustment to the NSP software. When I went to change the configuration to what your email suggested it would come up with a message saying “Writing Configuration File Failed” Do I need to log in as an Administrator, if so where would I do that and what would the password be? Thanks Justin Peterson eCircuits [phone] ext 205

Jeremiah, I got logged in and was able to make that adjustment. The machine is now up and running, thank you for the support. Would you be the person I need to request a quote for a new UPS? If not can you give me the contact for the person responsible for that? Thank You Justin Peterson eCircuits [phone] ext 205

Hello Justin, Can you give me the serial number to that machine? Sorry for the confusion earlier, I didn't realize you didn't get my picture. Glad you got it figured out! Once we get your serial number we can start setting up a quote. Thanks.

OMRON Team, This system landed at the end of November 2025 to eCIRCUITS. I would argue that an infant mortality on the backup power supply this soon should be covered under warranty. Please advise. Richard Richard Limbach, President eCircuits www.ecircuitsusa.com

Hi Jeremiah-san, Thank you for your email. Just to be sure, is my understanding correct that customer experienced a problem where PC would restart, and that changing the UPS settings in the BIOS resolved the issue? Hi Kevin-san, Yes to be clear, they had to disable UPS for machine to boot. Thank you.

Jeremiah-san, Thank you for your confirmation. I believe the ML-67855 machine was shipped from CKD Japan in November 2023 and arrived in the US in January 2024. In this case, it's possible that the battery life was shortened due to the prolonged period without power being supplied to the UPS battery. Do you know the reason for the delay in the machine's delivery? Since more than two and a half years have passed since shipment from CKD Japan, I think it would be difficult for CKD to supply parts free of charge.
