Customer issue

Good afternoon Folks, We are continuously getting the below error on our Machine, however we are not finding any frays on the belts. We are unsure of where the sensors that are being reference in the error are actually located. Please advise on how we can get this error resolved as it is now popping up after every board we scan. Hello Elizabeth, Please check for any obstructions near either the entrance side or exit side of AOI. There are a set of sensors at either end, make sure nothing is blocking sensors. Also, manually crank the rail width to around 100mm . Thanks,

Hello Elizabeth, If I am correct this issue is on a S530, if so open front door, on front fixed rail side near front of AOI you will see a knob that will allow manual adjustment. Is error always for load and unload side? Thanks,

Yes, it is always for load and unload side. I did the manual adjustment and did not find anything blocking the sensors. Below is a picture of the amplifier readings we have now that the rail width has be set to 100mm. Are these the correct unobstructed readings? Hello Elizabeth, The amplifiers states look correct at this width. Please initialize the AOI, monitor rail position at time of error, are rails moving when error happens or does error occur only when belts are turning? Thanks,

The error only happens when the belts are moving regardless of the width of the rails. We have run multiple different width boards over the past couple of weeks. And no error during rail width change. We initially found some frays on the belts and we cut them off. We haven’t seen any new frays. Hello Elizabeth, Power off. I strongly believe there is something on belt causing error, likely an unseen fray. Make sure to check front fixed rail side as well as movable rail belt. Look for ones spraying from sides of belts, Thanks,

Found the frays, we were only looking at the side of the belt that faced the rail gap, not the side facing rail. We now know better. ☺ Thank you for all the help.
